[CM10] Cyanogenmod 10 FOR MICROMAX FUNBOOK INFINITY



FIRST OF ALL I AM NOT THE DEVELOPER OF THIS ROM, I JUST FOUND TOOK HELP FROM THE DEVELOPER AND MADE IT WORK.


And Thanks to--- AnonFBI(the developer), hal_9000 and Aditya R Rayala for helping me to make this ROM work on this device.

 Features:-
Well I m not gonna tell you what are it's features!!
Just flash the ROM and find them yourself!!

FILES YOU WILL REQUIRE TO MAKE THE ROM WORK---                                                                                   Download here.

 Procedure:-
(You need to Root your device in order to flash this ROM coz it needs CWM
Rooting tutorial is here
CWM tutorial is here)

 1. Go to CWM from NOVO tools.
2. Flash the ROM.
3. Flash the G-apps.
Don't Reboot now.

4. FIX FOR TOUCH
THINGS YOU WILL BE REQUIRING ON YOUR SDCARD BEFORE YOU START----
(i) gt811.zip(links ablove)
(ii) gt811_ts.ko (present in things u require.zip).
(iii)gt811_ts.idc(present in things u require.zip).

 Now Lets Begin......
(a) First in CWM after flashing rom and g-apps flash gt811.zip and reboot.
It will take a sometime to reboot and after it is rebooted you will find that touch is inverted.(Don't PANIC I m going to tell you how to fix this!!).
(b) Connect a USB mouse via OTG cable or else use the inverted touch.
For using inverted touch go to settings>developer options and select show touches it'll be helpful.(Suggestion given by Arpit982).
(c) Now go to the file manager. You will see it is showing nothing.
(d) Go to settings in file manager and choose root access mode and grant super-user permissions.

 (e) Exit the file manager and open it again.
(f) Go to storage/sdcard1(It will open your External SDCard) and navigate to the place where you copied the extracted things u require.zip
(g) Open the folder and from that select gt811_ts.ko
(f) After selecting it go to System/libs/modules and paste it there.

 (h) Select the gt811_ts.idc from the extracted folder and paste it to System/usr/idc.

 (i) Navigate to System/etc/init.d and open 02modules and in it change the name from gt811.ko to gt811_ts.ko .

(j) Open the Terminal emulator app and in it type the command su and press enter.
(k) It will ask for superuser permissions you have to grant it.
(l) Then type chmod 644 /system/usr/idc/gt811_ts.idc and hit enter.

 (m) Reboot your tab and VIOLA your touch is working now!!

5. FIX FOR CAMERA
THINGS YOU WILL BE REQUIRING ON YOUR SDCARD BEFORE YOU START----
(i) sp0838.zip(download links above) .
Now Lets Begin.....
(a) Open CWM by pressing power button and choosing reboot and then recovery.
(b) Flash the sp0838.zip  and then reboot.

6. FIX FOR SDCARD
(a) Go to System/etc and open Vold.fstab and change from nandj to nandk and reboot.
7. FIX FOR G-SENSORS

 THINGS YOU WILL BE REQUIRING ON YOUR SDCARD BEFORE YOU START----
(i)  mxc622x.zip(Download links above).
(ii) sensors.exDroid.so(present in things u require.zip).

 Now Lets Begin......
(a) Open CWM and flash mxc622x.zip and reboot.
(b) Go to file manager and navigate to system/lib/hw/sensors.exDroid.so and replace them with the file you downloaded having same name.

 (c) Open terminal emulator and type the command 
chmod 644 /system/lib/hw/sensors.exDroid.so .


 (d) Reboot the tab. And its done!!!!!!!!!!

You have fully functional CyanogenMod 10 on your very own Funbook Infinity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    terminal emulator app helps u to give commands like you do in ADB it'll b present in the apps list when you will install the rom.

    Hi Kartik, firstly I must appreciate you for setting up this blog as I have not seen any good resources for tweaking P275. I have been looking around for a CM ROM for my infinity and came across this blog. The above steps worked like a charm. Thank you for all the hard work in coming up with these procedures.

    Just one question though. Do you know why the memory is being detected as just 353MB (instead of 512MB). When I sum up the used + available memory, its just coming to around 350MB so I guess some tweaks are required for this. The stock ROM used to show 512MB.

    Hi everything works fine.
    Two issues
    1. There is no way to increase decrease vol from the main screen
    2. The data connection tab is vanished and there is no way to acccess internet through dongle.

    Can these two issues be addressed so that we can have a fully functional ROM

    hello i flash this rom,patches and all the editing in script correctly as seen above but the touch in my infinity is work like a mouse pointer take the pointer to the option and click it is so irritating plz hlp me.

      I faced the same issue.
      I removed the mouse when tablet power on and then reboot it
      then again i attached the mouse and ran the command again as mentioned above.
      after giving the command it should return to prompt
      then remove the mouse and reboot it works fine

    Thanks a lot.. :) Was able to flash without any problem. Not one faced due to clear instructions. I didn't use mouse but reverse touch. A simple advice for those who don't have a USB mouse or can't make it work to go to settings cautiously using the reverse touch. Settings>Developers Option>Turn it on>Check show touches. It will make it easier for you.

    @OP Can you tell me what themes you using that are compatible with this TAB :)

    One more thing man.. After some testing I found that .mkv 720p vids, which used to work fine on stock are lagging on JB! :( That's kinda deal breaking.. any fix? Can you contact that dev of yours for some help on this issue

      Top right icon should be there....
      And this pointer thing happens when you don't give chmod command in terminal emulator

      after u give command just hit enter. it should goto next line.

      $ su
      # chmod 644 /system/usr/idc/gt811_ts.idc

      i did this 4-5 times till now & every time it worked - do follow step by step as mentioned.

      same as using cmd prompt in windows.

    Kartik...

    Y!day after flashing everything was fine.....today morning i could use only homescreen & cant jump in.

    can only open whatever is on homescreen (power ctrl / setting / gallery) . the top right icon is gone.

    plz help. do i need reflashing.

    btw, thanx for jb, tab worked smoothly y!day.

    rom's good.... but it happened due to some R&D

    i erased all data off the Internal memory (2gb partition) & since then i couldnt access it.

      flashed stock rom v2.... now got partition back....

      all i am going to do is.....trying to merge both partition using MTK partitioner tool... to have 2.5gb partition for installations....

    Hi Dev, Amazing work on this fu*ing awesome tab. I was looking for a JB Rom with phone/phablet UI. I tried changing the DPI in build.prop (increased to 320 and decreased to 20) but it didn't change the layout, only changed the density. Can you help me get the phone UI as in Nexus tablets...Thanks

    There is no way to increase or decrease volume from main screen. Any fix for that? Otherwise your ROM is working perfectly.

    i am still in ICS stock ROM but my tablate screen brightness flickering after use it 15 to 20 minuets contiguously (i.g. movies play in tab) and screen light off (only lights off but when i press lock key screen off sound comes) than i again press lock key after 5 to 7 minutes screen look like ok but after 5 ot 10 minutes flickering and lights off.......plz plz kindly ans. me what s wrong with my tab...... thanks in advance ..........

    hello kartik. i bought this funbook in march and now i am having two issues with it
    1. wifi takes time to connect.
    2. sometimes the tablet automatically switches offf when in sleep and it also gets heated at the back.
    tell me if u also face these problems.

      Heating problem is with everyone having this tab . Rest can be solved by flashing the stock ROM again.

    Buddy You are the only one getting the problem....
    Every single person who used the tutorial and contacted me was able to run the camera.
    In fact you are the only one who complained about the camera..Just follow the steps and I assure you that you will be able to run the Camera too.

      No volume rockers in status bar although you can use status volume app available in play store...

      The stock ROM of infinity is clean ICS you just need to remove the bloatwares and it is as much equal to the clean ics ROM

    after extracting gt811.zip. the files inside it, are not that are recommended.the files inside it are
    gt811.ko not gt811_ts.ko
    gt811.idc not gt811x_ts.ko

      Buddy you don't need to extract gt811.zip.(Just flash it through CWM)
      You should extract things u require.zip to get the gt811.idc.

    Hello Katik. will u please tell me how to fix the coordinate system of accelerometer as when i play games like homerun battle 3d and heavy gunner only the left and right tilt system works and the up and down tilt system does not work.     I flashed to my funbook infinity p275 as per the instructions... everything else is fine except Camera (front and back both cameras are not working) and no volume control on status bar... also i feel the battery drains much faster now...

    I am facing display problem in p275. I found darkness on screen several times. Display is not visible but when I press orange button momentarily display comes for a fraction of second. First time I faced this problem when I purchased the same day I found it blank. I taken to Customer care centre they got it right somehow . When I reset it , Logo & funbook visible for few seconds after wards it looks totally blank. Can any body guide me. My email address is trytechy@gmail.com.
